Cath Lab

A learning prototype for students & trainees

Get a feel for
the catheter.

Push, pull, rotate. Explore catheter movement and the route to the coronary arteries in 3D.

Open source. In English and Japanese.

Learn by exploring movement.

Connect the movement
to what happens next.

One movement. Two views.

Switch between 3D and simulated fluoroscopy. Explore the relationship between catheter and coronary arteries with a 6–10 inch field of view.

Give each hand a role.

Use your camera: push and pull with the left hand, rotate with the right thumb and index finger. Button controls are available too.

Look back at your movements.

Review movement and rotation graphs, then export CSV or JSON. These observations are not clinical skill scores.

Start exploring.
Add Jev when ready.

The core simulator is free. Our hosted Jev API will be available only to paid subscribers.

Camera processing stays on your device.

Only when Jev is enabled are hand movement summaries sent to TypeSafe. Camera frames are not sent. Improvements in accuracy or response time from Jev have not yet been established.

An entry point to learning.

This is a research and development prototype, not a tool for clinical decisions or certification. The research version's vascular data has separate terms; use in a paid service is under review.
